It wouldn’t be out of character for a Kardashian to flaunt her jewellery, but when Khloé and her boyfriend Tristan Thompson both showed off matching new rings after a romantic holiday in Jamaica, rumours swirled that the couple had secretly eloped.
However, our insiders tell us that the duo’s his-and-her sparklers were actually exchanged in a commitment ceremony – a telltale sign it won’t be long before they tie the knot for real.
“Khloé’s been desperate for some stability after such a troubled first marriage and Tristan is offering her the life she’s wanted for years – she got the rings to prove she’s serious,” spills a source close to Khloé, 32, who’s been dating the basketballer since last July.
“I wouldn’t be surprised if they eloped. They had this big conversation about the future, where they talked about buying a house together, when they would get married and even how many kids they each want.”
The happy news comes in the same week that the star of E!’s RevengeBody
withKhloéKardashian threw a $30,000 no-expenses-spared party to celebrate Tristan’s 26th birthday. The big-budget
event was gold-themed to o match the colour of Tristan’s basketball ketball team, the Cleveland Cavaliers, and was as elaborate as many people’s e’s weddings.
But when it comes to the couple’s big day, Khloé isn’t dreaming of a lavish bash, despite pressure from her momager, Kris Jenner, 61, because though Tristan – who has threemonth-old son Prince to his ex – is crazy about Khloé, he’s not into the family’s obsession with fame.
“When they get married, it will be a really quiet ceremony with absolutely no cameras,” says our source. “It’s caused stand-up rows with Kris, who thinks everything is fair game for their TV show and has already started making calls about wedding endorsement deals. She’s putting serious pressure on Khloé, saying she has responsibilities and contracts, and an obligation to the family.”
But Khloé knows too much exposure could damage Tristan’s sporting career and she’s told Kris she won’t back down. Says the source, “Khloé loves that Tristan refuses to have anything to do with that stuff – it proves he’s with her for the right reasons.”
