WHAT A WEEK!

Monochrome was the memo at Monte Carlo’s glamorous annual Rose Ball, where the Monaco royals were out in fashionable force.

Dressed to impress, Princess Caroline of Hanover, 60, pushed the envelope in a multi-patterned, multi-fabric avant-garde confection, while her daughter Charlotte Casiraghi, 30 – who attended with her old school friend Juliette Maillot – opted for simple yet sexy plunging elegance.

But all eyes were on Charlotte’s sister-in-law Beatrice Borromeo, who made her first public appearance on the arm of her dapper hubby Pierre, 29, since she welcomed the couple’s first son last month. Showing no signs of sleepless nights, the glowing new mum, 31, flaunted her incredible post-baby figure in floorlength sparkles and to honour Karl Lagerfeld’s chosen theme – the elegant Vienna Secession art movement – completed her look with a knotted bun and classic jewels.

“They look like any new parents – glad to be out of the palace,” says one observer, who told how Pierre was attracting attention to his wife’s slimmed-down shape by grabbing her waist.

However, while the Casiraghis enjoyed the high-society affair, speculation was raised over Prince Albert and his wife Princess Charlene’s conspicuous absence, despite attending the Sainte Dévote rugby tournament in Monte Carlo earlier in the day.
