DELLA’S KITCHEN PANIC
There’sher no doubt being a contestantcon on My Kitchen Rules Australia can be stressful. But for construction lawyer Della Whearty, the pressure of competing on the reality show really took its toll.
“I had a lot of anxiety,” the 30-yearold says. “People are going to see a different Della from what they know. Looking baback, I wish I would’ve taken a break and said to myself, ‘This isn’t tthe end of the world.’”
Mother-of-one Della admits she felt especially overwhelmed when she and teammate Sarah Tully had to present their instant restaurant on the TVNZ 2 series. “I don’t think I’ve ever doubted myself more,” she explains. “I felt really alone. All I could think about was how everyone would feel watching us, instead of focusing on the task at hand. I had a lot of self-doubt and it really crept up.”
