“I’ve always loved kids,” the 36-year-old business owner agrees. “I’ve always liked the idea of being a dad and a mentor. Alene will make a great mum too.”

“It’s definitely going to be very interestin­g to see how we blend our lives, especially with kids,” Alene adds, telling us one of her favourite things about Simon is the way he’s slotted right into her huge Lebanese family. “He fits in perfectly. He likes to talk to my mum and dad, and my brother-in-law, evene though they don’t speak English! He sits there with hish big eyes absorbing it all.”

Despite their excitement at the thought ofo having babies, Simon anda Alene have their handshand full in the meantime with shopping for property and dreamingd of another trip do down the aisle.

“I would lik like a proper marriage! I do like to sign that paper,” AleneAl laughs as Simon steals a quick kiss before spinningsp­innin her around.

“I’d keep it small this time. I think we’dw do it in Queensland, where Simon lives, becausebec­aus he didn’t get to invite ever everyone last time when it was in Sydney.”

Simon agrees,ag “It would probably be a little bit different to what we had – I’ve always imagined havingh a garden wedding in the paddocks.”

they plan to set up home together, Simon is yet to be swayed by Sydney, especially after a failed trip to look at properties. “I was like, ‘I’ll just sell my multiple houses and buy a shoebox in New South Wales!’” he laughs, adding that Alene has kindly offered to trial moving to Queensland in the next few months.

“She’s very thoughtful – the fact she’s considerin­g the move to Queensland means a lot,” he says of his beautiful “wifey”.

Amid all of these incredible plans, the smitten pair are determined to keep the romance alive, despite still living apart.

“I have a rule that we have to speak to each other every day and we’re trying to see each other once a month, but it’s hard because I’ve just started a new job and Simon works weekends,” tells Alene.

“I really miss him all the time when we’re not together, especially when I come home from work and he’s not there.”

She adds with a playful grin. “I miss the physical sense of him. Touching him, seeing him, hearing him ... I even miss his own ‘Simon scent’.”
