Nadine’s blushing-bride look
L’Oréal Paris Make-up Director Lisa Matson created a classically beautiful look for Nadine and her bridesmaids. Here’s how ...
What was your inspiration for Nadine’s bridal look?
When I got together with Nadine and saw her gown and her bridesmaids’ dresses, there was such a strong Art Deco influence with them both that we decided to go with that feel. Nadine’s classic updo, created by stylist Keryn Parker, helped to encapsulate the feel as well.
What were the main elements for her look?
Beautiful skin was key, so I mixed L’Oréal Paris Infallible 24 Hr Matte Foundation together with L’Oréal Paris Lumi Magique Primer to give her a beautiful base that would last all day but have a fresh-looking radiance. Dark-plum shades created a beautiful smoky eye. Over subtle contouring, I added a soft rosy blush to her cheeks and finished off the look with a nude lip.
How about the bridesmaids?
Traditionally, Art Deco make-up is all about dark lips and smoky eyes, but we decided to create a nice contrast so that Nadine had the smoky eyes and the bridesmaids had the dark lips. The dark maroon colour was also in the girls’ bouquets and their earrings, so it all tied together beautifully.
