Dodgy doctor Bree was fired after killing a patient, trying to murder her own sister and, after being released from a psychiatric hospital, committed blackmail and murder. Kerikeri beauty Rachael, 31, now works behind the camera on the web series AuckwardLove.

What was your favourite scene to film?

Hmmm, it’s tricky as I found the whole role very difficult. Bree’s actions were hard to justify and I absolutely don’t condone her behaviour! But generally, I loved my time on the show. I also met my partner on set ... He still works on the show as the location director of photography. Special shout-out to him!

Do you feel sorry for Bree?

She had numerous mental issues, which I researched thoroughly to really understand where her thinking came from, so I did feel great sympathy. She had a troubled upbringing and just wanted to be accepted and loved.

What’s the most evil thing you’ve done in real life?

I accidentally took a roll of sticky tape home in my pocket from Paper Plus Kerikeri when I was eight and felt so awful about it! Terrified of the repercussions, I confessed to Mum, who just laughed and said she’d pay for it tomorrow.
