When Prince Harry first fell in love with his glamorous girlfriend Meghan Markle, his closest advisors did their best to warn him off the affair. As a divorced American actress with a very high profile, she wasn’t what the royal family had in mind when it came to Harry’s future bride.
But the smitten prince was determined to continue with the romance, which until now has brought him nothing but joy. However, Woman’sDay can reveal the pair are facing their first major crisis, amid reports Meghan’s ex-husband Trevor Engelson has been offered more than $1 million to write a tell-all book about his short-lived marriage to the star.
A close source tells us that with interest in Toronto-based Meghan at an all-time high, the price is finally right for film producer Trevor, 40, to dish the dirt on the girl he dated for six years before tying the knot in 2011 and then divorcing in 2013.
“Trevor has remained tight-lipped until now, despite numerous cash offers being on the table,” says our source. “But now he’s been swayed. He’s been quietly biding his time to get his revenge on what he insists were ‘years from hell’.”
The timing couldn’t be worse for the 35-year-old princess-to-be, with her royal training stepping up and speculation a royal wedding with Harry is just months away. With a scandalous British TV documentary also in the works called Meetthe
Markles, she and Harry are now locked in talks with royal aides over the best way to handle the fall-out.
“Meghan and Harry always knew that people might try to reveal things about her past, but this is worse than they’d imagined. She feels so betrayed, especially as her friends and family seem so happy to divulge her secrets.”
Our source says Trevor plans to spill details about his and Meghan’s sex life, as well as her parents’ marriage breakdown – including reports of swingers parties. There will also be allegations of diva antics and temper tantrums on the part of the actress, and even shock claims Meghan had an emotional affair during their marriage!

“Trevor and Meghan’s marriage broke down when she moved to Toronto, where Suits is filmed, and it was the long distance that tore them apart,” says our source. “Trevor also had suspicions that Meghan was having an emotional affair with a co-star. The distance was already proving difficult and this was the final nail in the coffin.
“If Trevor signs the deal, he’ll expose all about being married to Meghan – and how she reportedly tried to get a huge payout from him during their bitter divorce negotiations.”
Prior to their marriage breakdown, Trevor is said to have complained that Meghan was a diva who was prone to temper tantrums when she didn’t get her way. Among his other claims is that she was a “wild cat” in the bedroom – and he also plans to spill on Meghan’s past relationships.
In what will seem an even crueller twist to Meghan, who is said to have been devastated by her parents’ divorce as a child,
