Jennifer Aniston has always been open about the fact she might never have a baby. But behind the scenes, she and husband Justin Theroux are finally closer than ever to becoming parents. And Woman’s Day can reveal that after finding a willing surrogate, the delighted pair are celebrating triplets!
“Jen and Justin just can’t believe the good news,” tells a close source. “They’ve endured years of heartbreak in their bid for a baby, but finally all signs are pointing towards parenthood. They’re beside themselves with happiness.”
As we reported earlier this year, the loved-up duo, who married in 2015, have found a surrogate mother to carry their babies.
While doctors had initially warned 48-year-old Jennifer that harvesting eggs might be tricky given her age, they were able to create three embryos.
“Jen decided that all three will be implanted, so there’s a good chance she and Justin will be having triplets,” tells a close source. “Having one baby would be amazing, but three would be a dream come true. They’re already talking about their ‘instant family’. A pal says the former
Friends star’s joy was clear to see at Courteney Cox’s birthday party at LA’s exclusive Chateau Marmont last month, when a glowing Jennifer couldn’t wipe the smile off her face. With Justin by her side, she made a beeline for the birthday girl and blurted out her joyful surrogacy news.
“Everyone just screamed and rushed to hug and kiss Jen – and congratulate Justin, of course,” a friend of the pair reveals. “Afterwards, Jen said sorry to Courteney for stealing the spotlight on what was meant to be her special day.”
But for Courteney, it was an extra-special 53rd birthday gift – she couldn’t have been more thrilled to hear the happy news, especially as she knows how much her best friend has gone through to become a mother.
“Justin and Jen have been trying for a baby since their wedding night almost two years ago – actually, before that if truth be known,” says the source. “They’ve tried IVF, fertility treatments, everything. They’ve even had an adoption fall over at the last hurdle. It’s been heartbreaking.”
Jennifer has spoken about motherhood in the past, saying, “We don’t need to be married or mothers to be complete. We get to determine our own ‘happily ever after’ for ourselves.”
Now, though, pals say she couldn’t be happier, especially as she’s developed a close bond with the woman chosen to carry her babies.
“She and Justin have vowed to do whatever it takes to make her as comfortable throughout her pregnancy as possible. They’ve already asked her to move into their Bel-Air mansion for the last trimester and Jen’s vowed to splash out on an organic pregnancy chef for her as well as her own massuesse.
“This baby is everything Jen’s ever dreamt of, so she just wants it to go as perfectly as possible.”
