G d morning!

My fiancé wakes up at 4.30am to start his 6am radio show, so I also wake up at 4.30am every morning… but luckily I go back to sleep until about 6.15am. I pat my cats for a little bit, because they’re always asleep at the end of the bed. After I get up, I put the kettle on straight away. I have my cup of tea while I’m doing my make-up, then I take it into the kitchen while I’m making my lunch. I have the exact same routine every morning, which is a really good foundation for the day ahead. In this job, you might think that you’ve got nothing on for the day and then suddenly you’ve got a million and one things to do. Having that ritual in the morning is nice and grounding.

At my d k

Every day is totally different, which is what is so great about this job! As associate editor, my job is to make sure the magazine comes together in a cohesive way. I help to organise photo shoots, I go on the photo shoots and eat the food (a great perk of the job!), I make sure all of our contributors know what they’re doing and that we’re keeping to schedule for deadline. I might be going out and interviewing someone or writing a story. I love learning about Kiwis doing cool things, it’s really exciting. The ‘Well-thy’ section of the magazine, which is all about having a sense of wellbeing and purpose of self, is exactly what I like to do. I love sharing wellbeing tips but I would never like to be preachy about it, because I just make stuff up as I go along!

Home sw t home

After work, I go home and I put my dressing gown on, put my hair in a topknot and start making dinner. Clint and I will sit down, chill out and watch TV. I don’t like to do anything too talky or social after a busy day at work! An hour or so after eating dinner, we’ll make a cuppa. My night-time tea is usually a sweeter tea – something that will stop me eating chocolate! happens when I wake up in the morning. Having a relaxing morning routine sets me up for whatever comes in my day ahead. I always have a tea when I’m getting ready, and I’ve recently discovered Bell White Tea Pure. I like to start the day by putting something warm and delicious into my body that’s a bit more wholesome and calming. I want the ritual of having a hot drink but I don’t have to have a sugary drink, this way I can have something that’s both calming and good for my soul.

?? @ lucyslight ?? 7:45am One of my morning essentials is a cup of Bell White Tea Pure. It’s a gentle and refreshing way to wake up. I love just taking a quiet moment to cuddle my cats with a cup of tea steaming beside me.
