We get the low dow non a controversial coupling
C hristine Evangelista and Josh Henderson are lifting the lid on Hollywood’sH most infamous marriagem of convenience. In new series The
Arrangement, Christine, 30, plays aspiring actress Megan, who is offered a $10 million dollar marriage contract by Tinseltown hot shot Kyle West. With the series rumoured to be basedb on Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes’ relationship,
Woman’sDay sits down
with TheWalkingDead
s star to get the inside scoop.
What do you make of people saying that the seriess is based on the demised of TomKat?
It’s natural – people tend to compare the show with rumours they’ve heard and a certain religious group they’ve speculated about.
How does it feel for you being compared to Katie Holmes?
I don’t think anyone has compared me to her at all – they want to associate my character with her. But Megan and Katie are two totally different people, coming from two very different places in their lives. Personally, I think Katie has had an awesome career on her own merit and seems to be a great mother to Suri.
Would you marry someone for money or to enhance your career?
Definitely not. I could never fully trust it. And my father would kill me!
How did you first get involved in the show?
I really wanted the part and worked hard for it. It’s funny, there’s a scene in the pilot episode where Megan walks into an audition room and has a “chemistry read” with Kyle West. This is exactly how it happened in real life. I walked into a room, met Josh and read that exact same scene from the show with him, and got the part after that.
We’ve heard you have some steamy scenes
with Josh – what was that like?
Certainly not as romantic as it looks! Sex scenes are always weird, there are about 75 crew members around – everyone has a job to do and every component about it is very technical. You learn to get past any vulnerabilities you have really quickly. Luckily for me, Josh is an awesome co-star and pretending to make out with him isn’t the worst thing I’ve experienced.
What’s one thing about you that might surprise people?
When I was 16, I was kicked off a reality show talent competition called
Fame for telling off one of the judges.
