Kylie and Khloé’s baby bombshells
There must be something in the water at the Kardashian mansion, after not one but two pregnancy bombshells in the past week!
Just 24 hours after the news emerged that Kylie Jenner is pregnant with her boyfriend Travis Scott’s baby, it was soon reported her half-sister Khloé Kardashian is expecting a child with basketball player Tristan Thompson. They join big sister Kim Kardashian West, 36, whose third kid will arrive via a surrogate in January. “It’s insane that all three sisters are having babies at the same time,” a family insider tells Woman’s Day. “They can’t stop giggling about it. The little cousins will be very close.”
While Khloé has been trying for a baby for years, it’s little sis Kylie who’s caused the biggest shockwaves. Having dated rapper beau Travis, 25, for only five months, no-one was expecting a pregnancy, least of all Kylie!
“It certainly wasn’t planned – the Kardashian clan is reeling,” tells our source, adding that Kylie, 20, and Travis – who got together in April – are “beyond delighted”. The star, whose cosmetics company made $580 million in sales in the past 18 months, is doing all she can to allay her family’s fears that she’s rushing things. She’s told them Travis is her soulmate and that he’ll be a good dad.
Tells our insider, “She was very upset when she first found out because it came as a total shock. But she’s always dreamed of being a young mum and now she feels like it’s meant to be.”
Kylie is understood to be due in February – a month after Kim. While the reality queen is doing her best to be happy for her little sister, our source says she can’t help but feel upset by the timing.
“Kylie has fast become the most famous and successful of all the sisters, but Kim hoped her surrogate baby might help propel her back to stardom. Now, though, she knows all eyes will be on Kylie and Travis’ arrival.”
And she’s not the only one panicking, adds our insider, with “momager” Kris Jenner worried about the impact a baby will have on Kylie’s make-up empire.
“She’s asked Kylie to sign agreements that she’ll continue
fronting her brand campaigns during her pregnancy and beyond. Of course she’ll love the baby and be a wonderful grandmother, but she wants to ensure Kylie continues to be a money spinner.”
While Kylie has yet to confirm the pregnancy, fans believe they’ve identified the moment Travis learnt he’d become a dad – when he tweeted on June 12, “Legit happiest day of my life.”
The pair got together just weeks after Kylie ended her three-year relationship with rapper Tyga, who last week shared then deleted a post saying, “Nah, that’s my kid!”
“Tyga still sees Kylie as the love of his life,” says the insider. “He has major regrets over the way things ended.”
Meanwhile, mum-to-be Khloé, 33, can’t stop smiling. “This baby is very much planned and wanted,” reports our insider. “Khloé’s been having regular injections to boost her fertility, as well as sticking to a strict diet and exercise regime.
“Secretly, she’s always feared motherhood might never happen for her, so she’s walking on air.”
Khloé battled infertility while married to shamed NBA player Lamar Odom but later admitted she was “fake trying” to get pregnant as she didn’t believe he was fit for fatherhood.
After falling for Tristan, 26 – who has a son, Prince, 10 months, with his ex Jordan Craig – she immediately started trying to get pregnant. “He wants to have five or six kids with me, which is lovely,” she admitted recently.
Adds our insider, “After years of being Aunty Koko, she can finally be Mommy.”
