The singer’ s out of hiding and ready to spill about life with her ex

Five months after their shock split, more details are emerging of the pain Janet Jackson endured in the final year of her marriage to Qatari billionaire Wissam Al Mana.

The divorce papers have yet to be signed, but Janet’s big brother Randy has come out swinging against the man Janet married secretly in 2012.

“It was quite an abusive situation,” the Jackson 5 legend has claimed in a bombshell interview. “No pregnant woman needs to go through being called a bitch every day ... That’s what she went through.”

It’s also been revealed Randy, 55, who orchestrated his sister’s departure from the London marital home where she felt “hidden away” from the world, quietly organised for their mother Katherine, 87, and older sister Rebbie, 67, to fly to the UK to help Janet chart a way out of her nightmare.

While first-time mum Janet, 51, has remained tight-lipped on her marriage breakdown, which was announced in April, it appears that her protective family has no such qualms about slamming her estranged husband.

The “Rhythm Nation” singer married conservative Muslim businessman Wissam, 42, following a whirlwind courtship, which included fine dining in Russia, shopping in Italy and holidaying on superyachts.

Soon after their nuptials, the flamboyant star began complying with her husband’s Islamic dress code, appearing on stage in outfits that covered her from top to toe. The pair immediately began trying for a child and a family insider says the struggle to conceive created cracks in the marriage. Those cracks became chasms after Janet became pregnant last year, aged almost 50.

Out of Control

“S*** hit the fan,” the insider spills. “Janet usually ate well, exercised properly and kept herself looking good, but Wissam freaked out, thinking she’d be this ‘fat pig’. He was on her all the time about doing things right, eating right, as if she wasn’t already.”

To please Wissam, she even began wearing more modest outfits and what appeared to be full body Islamic dress, but that came to an end after their son Eissa was born in January. The singer and her baby boy are now back in the US and Janet is reportedly in talks with Netflix for a lucrative 10-part docu-series on life after divorce.

At a recent concert in Houston, Janet wept while performing a song about domestic violence, while Wissam has said he won’t dignify Randy’s comments with a response – but it’s thought he’ll soon fight for custody of his son. The insider spills, “He doesn’t think tour buses and private jets are good places to raise a child.”
