The actress is devastated as her boyfriend’s shady past is exposed
With her A-list romance now firmly out in the open and a wedding in the works, this should be one of the happiest times in Katie Holmes’ life. But instead of excitedly trying on bridal gowns, the actress is an emotional wreck after it was revealed her rumoured fiancé Jamie Foxx has been hiding a sordid past.
Just a month ago – four years after they got together and only a couple of weeks after they sensationally went public with their relationship – Woman’s Day revealed that Katie, 38, and Jamie, 49, planned to tie the knot in New York’s Central Park this December. There were also rumours that the former Dawson’s Creek star was expecting the Oscar-winning actor’s child.
However, their dream of settling down and starting a family together now looks to be in tatters following revelations about Jamie’s shady behaviour, which have left Katie devastated.
New reports suggest that while the couple kept their romance under wraps – due to Katie’s bizarre five-year divorce contract with exhusband Tom Cruise, which banned her from publicly dating – Jamie had ample opportunities to play around.
Among the allegations are claims he had a mistress at one point during their relationship and there are also reports that explicit photos are in circulation, including pictures of a woman performing a sex act on the
Django Unchained actor in a limousine in Las Vegas.
“He was seeing another woman at the same time as Katie,” a well-placed source reveals. “She was Russian and much younger than him. It was really awkward. Jamie would try to rush them in and out so nobody would catch him.”
It’s claimed that Jamie’s voracious appetite for women was noticed by staff at a Hollywood hotel he stayed at. “He would try to pick up women in the bar in the lobby,” an onlooker claims. “He’d move from one to the next and if they didn’t react, he pulled the ‘Don’t you know who I am?’ card. Most of the time, it worked and he’d have more than one girl following him to his suite.”
Jamie – a father to Corinne, 23, and Annalise, eight – has also been the subject of a lawsuit that accused him of harassing a woman, invading her privacy and violating stalking laws in the state of Georgia. The lawsuit was later dismissed.
Understandably, Katie – whose daughter Suri is now 11 – is said to be heartbroken by the revelations that Jamie, the man she’s been devoted to since her high-profile divorce from Tom, 55, may have been living a double life.
When the couple went public with their romance last month, Katie’s happiness was evident. Friends reported that she was thrilled they could properly start living their lives together.
“Jamie was Katie’s knight in shining armour after her divorce,” a family insider says, adding the actress is now feeling betrayed. “They’ve had blazing arguments before and Jamie has promised to change. If he lies to her one more time, she’ll walk.”
