The duped Dutchess seeks revenge
T wo days after the shocking news that former Black Eyed Peas singer Fer Fergie had called time on her nine-year marriage to Josh Duhamel, the singer jette jetted to Brazil for the Rock in Ri Rio Festival.
AndAn her estranged husband wasn’t exactly licking his wounds as he looked after their son Axl in Los Angeles, his wedding ring conspicuously absent, refusing to deny rumours he has already moved on with Olivia Munn, the sexy leading lady in his new film.
In their joint divorce statement, Fergie, 42, and Josh, 44, said they separated “earlier this year” but kept it quiet for the sake of Axl. But now sources say the couple are gearing up for a nasty, no-holds-barred battle over their four-year-old.
“Fergie is way more furious about Josh and Olivia than she’s letting on,” a family insider tells. “She feels wronged and she wants to get revenge by getting full custody.”
Josh and Olivia first raised eyebrows in Toronto earlier this year, when she played his wife in TheBuddy
Games, also his directorial debut. The sultry X-Men actress, 37, was just coming off the end of her three-year relationship with NFL player Aaron Rodgers, and there were whispers on set that she and Josh were sneaking off for cosy dinners together.
“That was the same time Josh and Fergie separated, and he moved out of the house, so you’d have to think that he and Olivia kind of rebounded with each other,” the insider hints. “When Fergie heard they were still in constant contact even after filming wrapped, the alarm bells went off. Fergie always suspected something was going on between them. Now she’s convinced there is.”
But winning full custody won’t be simple. While the “Fergalicious” singer has been hopping around the globe promoting her new album DoubleDutchess, “Josh has been spending lots of quality time with Axl, which won’t look good for her,” dishes the insider.
What Fergie fears even more is the possibility Josh will bring up her past battles with drugs and alcohol, even though she’s been sober for more than a decade. “She has her lawyers gathering all the ammunition they can,” the insider adds. “You can bet there will be no shortage of fireworks!”
