Working on a show that deals with the worst serial killers of all time doesn’t sound like a dream job, but Australian beauty Anna Torv leapt at the opportunity as soon as she heard producer and director David Fincher was involved.
“At first, I met the casting director, then auditioned for David,” tells Anna. “It was pretty nerve-wracking! So I was beyond thrilled when I got g the call to say, ‘It’s yours.’”
Anna, 38, who rose to fame in US drama
Fringe, plays psychologist Wendy, who is drafted in to help the FBI with groundbreaking research into serial murderers.
She confesses that she was a bit on edge for her first day of shooting, again thanks to David, who is famous for his hit films FightClub, Gone
Girl and TheSocial Network, as well as the
TV series HouseofCards.
“I was pretty nervous,” recalls Anna. “I’d seen David in interviews, , so I knew that he was smart and a straight-shooter. oter. But he’s much funnier nier than I imagined and d extremely generous.” us.”
David is known for demanding multiple le takes from actors, sometimes shooting ng a scene 50 times. So how did Anna cope? e?
“We did a lot of takes,” she admits. “But David knows what he wants and everything moves quickly when you spend all your y time working.”
