This Hollywood fave has hit the top spot again as a fitness trend for 2018 and is crucial for celebritie­s required to shape up for film roles, including catsuit-wearing Avengers star Scarlett.

MARIAH CAREY TREND: Water workouts

Banish any image you might have of retro aqua aerobics classes as water workouts are making a comeback in showbiz circles! Their muscle-strengthen­ing and flexibilit­y benefits are well known, and now there are high-intensity versions too. Singer Mariah, 47, says, “My workout routine is more about getting and staying toned. For me, that means

taking hour-long walks a few times a week, or jumping in the pool three or four days a week to do 45 minutes of aquatic exercises.”

ASHLEY GRAHAM TREND: Boxing

Boxing and its many variants feel empowering and are a great way to burn energy. It’s a go-to workout for model Ashley, 30, who describes herself as obsessed with being fighting-fit. “I think of going to the gym as a way to stay strong rather than a way to lose weight,” she shares. “Yes, I model a lot of swimsuits and lingerie, but to me, exercising is more about being healthy and feeling good. I set goals for myself like, ‘I’m going to work out three days this week,’ instead of ‘I’m going to lose three pounds [1.3kg] this week.’ Then I let whatever is supposed to jiggle, jiggle!”
