SEAL THE DEAL!

David Boreanaz is all at sea

-

Bones star David Boreanaz has traded in his FBI badge for a role in a new military drama as a Navy SEAL. The 48-year-old gives us the rundown.

What sets SEAL Team apart from other military dramas?

What’s interesting is that it allows the audience to see what goes on behind these ops, what goes on in these guys’ normal lives, how they deal with that adrenaline rush, how they deal with crossing boundaries. It’s pretty heavy.

How would you describe the dynamic within this Navy SEAL unit?

These guys are cards, they’re jokers, they’re brothers. And that’s really what you want to try to communicate, what goes on and the camaraderie behind all that. How they’re there for each other, how they pull ull themselves through, how they complete the op and how ow it all goes crazy.

What drew you to the role of Jason Hayes?

The action stuff is all there. But for me, it’s the characterdriven stuff that I was into. He’s a bit of a wildcard and a bit of a nut bag. He can be a bit unstable, charming and fun. He knows how to have a good time.

Why will audiences love the show?

How they go through a mission is so precise and so amazing. Obviously, you’re going to have the action, the great shooting, all the great escapes, how the SEALs move, and all the great gadgets and equipment, but it’s the characters that they’ll fall in love with.
