Drunk and disorderly Troubled Heather hits rock bottom
Avicious attack lands her in jail
After almost biting off the tip of her boyfriend’s nose during a dust-up at her California mansion, Heather Locklear has been cheekily renamed “Heather Lockjaw” by Hollywood wits.
But friends and family of the Melrose Place star are desperately worried for the actress, who has a long history of alcohol and substance abuse.
“Heather will stop drinking for a while after this, but she will relapse,” says a source close to the 56-year-old star in the wake of her arrest for domestic assault and attacking three police officers.
Heather’s brother called police to her California home on February 25 after a fight between the star and her boyfriend, former high-school sweetheart Chris Heisser, 56, turned nasty. When officers saw the end of Chris’ nose had been practically bitten off, they arrested her.
“She claimed to be injured, but we didn’t see any sign of that,” says a police insider, who also alleges Heather punched two cops and kicked another in the groin. “She flipped out and attacked them while screaming, ‘F***ing a***holes!’”
The fracas happened in front of the star’s daughter Ava, 20, whose dad is Bon Jovi rocker Richie Sambora.
Less than an hour after Heather was arrested, Chris – who served two years in jail after pleading guilty to forgery in 2011 – was pulled over by the highway patrol for driving too slowly and was charged with drink-driving.
It’s not the first time the blonde bombshell – who played a cop in the ’80s TV show
TJ Hooker before hitting the big-time in the soap Dynasty – has been accused of violence. In 2011, police were called to the home of her ex-boyfriend, actor Jack Wagner, after a fight between the pair turned physical and, last August, she allegedly attacked Chris during a heated argument.
Heather is due to face the judge on March 13 and our source says, “Everyone is so worried. It’s truly a very sad situation.”
In January last year, the actress checked into rehab for a fifth time, saying she was “taking steps to enrich and better my life”, but we’re told her family, led by Ava, has in the past few months been urging her to get help again.
“No-one can reach Heather – not her brother, Ava or her ex-husband Richie, who has remained close to her,” our source tells. “Heather feels Hollywood has forgotten her and she hasn’t been offered any roles in a long time.”
