Game Night, Justin has allegedly gone on an oldfashioned revenge bender that’s got tongues wagging.
The Leftovers star, 46, was apparently overheard at Paris Fashion Week last week saying he was in the mood to “party with models and get wild”. It’s also been reported he’s been going on cosy dates with an edgy New York photographer, who he was linked to before he and Jennifer, 49, announced their separation last month.
However, a source close to Justin tells Woman’s Day that the actor is privately concerned his estranged wife holds a lot of clout in Hollywood and that their impending divorce could cause his career to nosedive.
“Justin’s worried that Jen’s going to make him look like the bad guy,” spills our source. “He’s determined not to take the fall for the break-up and has hatched a revenge plan to make sure he doesn’t get thrown under the bus.”
Making moves
The actor has decided to spend “a lot more time out and about in Los Angeles to put to rest the rumours that he was too attached to New York to commit to life with Jen”, the source adds. “He’s also planning to float a rumour that he wants to work with Jen on a project, to prove that they’re still best buddies.”
Meanwhile, Justin has reportedly been enjoying the company of willowy 25-year-old photographer Petra Collins, who has been touted as a rising star on the Big Apple art scene.
“Justin and Petra have been carrying on for some time,” an insider claims. “He insists that they’re just friends, but he seems to be obsessed with her. Petra is totally Justin’s type – she’s hip, cutting-edge and has a cool downtown vibe. She’s everything Jen isn’t. They’ve gone out on cosy dinner dates and exchanged flirty messages on social media. They’ve actually been pretty brazen.”
While reps for Justin and Jennifer insist the couple are still on good terms, the insider says the divorce has the potential to turn nasty.
“Jen’s fortune is protected by an iron-clad pre-nup, but if he were so inclined, Justin is in a position to spill her secrets if she doesn’t play fair,” we’re told. “It’s sad how everything has gone down in flames.”
