Jennifer Aniston has never been one to shy away from standing up to the rumbling rumour mill and now, fed up with constant whisperings about her love life, she’s gearing up for an explosive interview in which she plans to reveal how Brad Pitt saved her from misery.
In the televised two-hour sit-down with close friend and TV host Ellen DeGeneres, a source tells Woman’sDay that Jennifer wants to address those persistent Brad reunion stories and tell the truth about her split from Justin Theroux.
“Jen’s sick of the rumours and, like every other time it becomes too much, she’s decided to speak out and set the record straight once and for all,” says our source. “Her good friend Ellen offered to do the interview shortly after her split from Justin, which Jen was initially hesitant about.
“But after weeks of rumours and stories flying around about her divorce, she feels like it’s time to defend herself and says what better way than to do it with one of her best friends, who she feels incredibly at ease and comfortable with.”
First up, Jennifer, 49, wants to use the interview to reveal what really happened between her and Justin, 46, and why they filed for divorce in February, after two years of marriage.
“She wants to be as honest and open as possible while respecting Justin and not showing to be the bitter, scorned woman,” the source tells. “But she wants to ensure she does herself justice and
tell the full story, which she says will shock and surprise viewers.
“Jen will reveal why Justin never moved to Los Angeles, the true cause of their marriage breakdown and the reason which stopped them from having their dream family.”
And she wants to address the stories about the new woman he’s dating, 25-yearold New York photographer Petra Collins, after the pair were spotted in an Instagram shot together.
The insider explains, “She wants to help put to bed some gossip which has been flying around about him and other women, as well as revealing the months of intense therapy they went through in a desperate bid to save their marriage – which was in fact initiated by Justin, contrary to reports.”
But more importantly, will Jennifer finally confirm she is back with ex-husband Brad? It comes after months of leaks from both of their camps, confirming they romantically reunited this year after she forgave him in September 2017. And last week, Woman’s
Day revealed that the smitten pair have been enjoying secret meetings in a luxury bolthole that Brad, 54, is renting in the Hollywood Hills – which has all been very hush hush.

“She wants the public to know how much of a saviour Brad’s been to her,” tells the insider. “And while it may seem like they jumped into this affair straight after her split from Justin, she will detail exactly when and how they reconnected and how Brad’s been there for her in her darkest times.
“Plus she’ll spill on how he tried to help her salvage her marriage – news that will no doubt shock everyone.”
The source also reveals that the former Friends actress is going to touch on how she felt following Brad hop-skipping into the arms of her love rival Angelina Jolie in 2005.
“Jen said she’ll tell the world about their fractured relationship following their marriage collapse and how she really felt about Angelina, as well as how Brad spent years trying to make amends with her,” claims the source.
It’s going to be bombshell after bombshell. And while addressing rumours isn’t a typical Hollywood move, it is something that Jennifer has done previously.
Following that devastating split from Brad, TheBreak-Up star didn’t shy away from exposing her heartache. She sat down with Vanity
Fair and confessed, “It’s sad, something coming to an end. It cracks you open, in a way – cracks you open to feeling.”
The new interview has already been pitched to TV executives at American network NBC, which looks after Ellen’s day-time show, and the source says they are currently in talks about the deal.
“They’ve already spoken to the network and they’re hoping to do a two-hour special as soon as possible,” says the insider. “She really wants to clear things up once and for all.”
