isney’s new film A Wrinkle in time may feature hollywood heavy weights oprah winfrey, reese witherspoon and mindy kaling, but the movie’s youngest actors have also caught our eye! storm reid, 14, who stars as meg murry, and nine-year-old deric mccabe, who plays her brother charles wallace, chat to us about their characters’ wild galactic adventure and their very famous co-stars!

What is the film about?

DERIC: It’s about a girl named Meg who has school problems. Everyone’s making fun of her because her dad got lost, so she goes on an amazing journey with her brother and her friend, and it ends up being an adventure. I play her brother Charles Wallace – he’s a sarcastic, smart, genius little boy.

What was it like working with Oprah?

Storm: There are just so many things that go through your head when you’re about to meet Oprah. But she is so great and she welcomes you with open arms. You could tell that she’s very focused and she loves everybody. She knows everybody’s name – from the cast to the hair and make-up stylists.

DERIC: No matter how famous Oprah is, she is just the most incredible person to work with. After this movie, she’s going to be even more of a superstar.

Storm, what did your female co-stars teach you?

I’ve learned from Miss Reese and Miss Mindy to always stay the same. These are powerhouse women in the industry and they are just so sweet, humble and down to earth. The reason that they have been in this business so long is because they are just great people.

What can people expect from this film?

Storm: No matter if you’re 80 or you’re 13, it doesn’t matter – you’re going to enjoy watching this movie. You’re going to walk out and be like, “Yes, I can conquer the world. Yes, I’m going to save the universe now!”

DERIC: When people see this film, I want them to feel that love can overpower anything.
