DAD IN DISGRACE! MEGHAN’S TOUGH LOVE
The Duchess of Sussex is planning a secret visit to her dad Thomas Markle in Mexico in September after banning him from her new home at Kensington Palace.
According to a well-placed source, Meghan and Prince Harry are worried about the 73-year-old, who missed the royal wedding after suffering a heart attack and surgery, following the revelation he posed for paparazzi photos.
The scandal left Meghan deeply upset and saw her draft in Prince Charles to walk her down the aisle.
While Thomas apologised to his daughter, he has also continued to speak to the media, leaving Meghan and Harry, who has yet to meet his father-in-law, no option but to ban him from travelling g to the UK.
“Meghan still cares about him, but she has no intention n of ever introducing him to her er new royal relatives, who all feel he behaved disgracefully,” tells our source. “Also, she thinks his health is so unstable that he would end up never leaving London and become dependent on her there.
“She has warned him that she and Harry will visit only if he stops all leaking to the press, but the truth is that they don’t trust him.”
Thomas is said to have checked in to a cheap Airbnb apartment in Mexico to watch
his daughter’s historic royal wedding and our source says Meghan refused his request to send him a photo of her in her wedding dress before the event. “She told him to watch on TV, just like everyone else. He is absolutely devastated about how things turned out and all he can hope is that one day Meghan will forgive him.”
