Over after 21 years?

Posh’s panic as David moves on

-

It was a warm, sunny spring day and she was on her way to the wedding of the year, but Victoria Beckham still couldn’t muster a smile as she and husband David arrived to witness the marriage of Prince Harry and the Duchess of Sussex.

At one stage, in footage seen by about two billion people around the world, it even looked like the retired footballer, 43, was refusing to hold hands with his wife, 44, on their way into St George’s Chapel – which prompted one onlooker to comment, “He looks as if he can’t stand her. They probably had a big row the night before.”

Another tweeted, “Have they split? If not, it’s surely only a matter of time.”

Since then, reports have emerged that David spent the night before the wedding partying with socialite Kara Keble-White at an Oxfordshire bar, with the brunette writing on Instagram, “Thanks for the shots, David.”

The flirty night out is said to have caused a massive row with Victoria. And it didn’t help that in previous weeks, David has been seen socialising with a bevy of beauties in Miami.

David is now based in Florida, where he’s setting up a new football franchise, while Victoria is struggling and lonely back home in London. The distance has seen the A-list couple – parents to Brooklyn, 19, Romeo, 15, Cruz, 13, and Harper, six – living increasingly separate lives and we’re told the situation has placed a real strain on their 19-year marriage.

And tensions increased last week after stories emerged that David had rented a $94,000-a-month bachelor pad without consulting Victoria, who fears her husband is getting sucked into the Miami nightlife scene.

“David likes to have fun and let loose with his friends and Victoria trusts him, but it’s the other women she has a problem with,” an insider tells

Woman’sDay. “Victoria is not stupid and knows that girls throw themselves at him all the time. She’s really laying down the law right now.”

Rumours that the couple’s marriage is on the rocks have been around for some months and after their icy interaction at the royal wedding, friends are fearing the worst.

“They’ve had to deal with so many whispers that they’re not in a good place and that alone is taking its toll,” says our insider. “David and Victoria always brush it off, but it’s been a while since they’ve looked really happy together.

“Now they’re spending less time together than they ever have before. They both want to do their own thing, but that means David will be in Miami most of the time and Victoria will be in London working on her fashion line.”

While the designer doesn’t like the idea of David being left alone in his bachelor pad, she’s too focused on her label to consider moving back to the US – and while both stars have always valued their independence, their families are concerned that they’re drifting too far apart.

“Their lives are moving in different directions and that’s alarming to people around them,” reports our insider. “If David and Victoria want this to last, they’re going to have to put a lot of work into their marriage, but that will be a whole lot harder when they’re living in different countries.

“The distance would be tough for any couple and their friends are worried it could become too much for them. If they can’t figure out a way to make this work, it seems very possible that a split could be just around the corner.”
