ate Hudson wore an itsy bitsy teeny weeny yellow bumpilicious bikini on a romantic break with her baby daddy Danny Fujikawa last week. But while her pregnancy belly was on full display, the AlmostFamous star was definitely keeping something on the down-low – an engagement ring!
Rumours have been swirling that the couple, whose baby is due this month, have split. But an insider tells Woman’sDay nothing could be further from the truth!
The pair have been relaxing at the Ojai Valley Inn, Kate’s favourite Californian getaway, which she describes as “the most romantic place on earth”.
According to our source, within hours of arriving, musician Danny, 38, fell to one knee and popped the question. And Kate, 39, who has sons Ryder, 14, with Chris Robinson, and Bingham, seven, with Matthew Bellamy, said, “Yes!”
“Danny jokingly proposed on Kate’s birthday but he didn’t have a ring and she didn’t take it seriously,” dishes our insider. “So she was completely blown away when he presented her with an antique diamond during a romantic dinner.”
Word is the couple are planning a “shotgun wedding” at Kate’s Pacific Palisades mansion before their baby arrives, and then plan to have a big, fat celebration in Greece once she’s recovered from the birth.
“She’s incredibly excited to become Mrs Fujikawa and start their little family together,” the source shares. “She’s on cloud nine and her best friend Liv Tyler is already planning a bachelorette party for after the pregnancy with the theme ‘MILFs gone wild!’”
