She’s been praised by women all over the world for talking honestly about how she’s embraced her post-baby body, but there was apparently an ulterior motive to Beyoncé’s unusually candid interview – she did it to attack the Kardashians!

“Beyoncé is disgusted by Kim Kardashian West’s pride in her new ‘anorexic’ look and Khloé’s drive to lose weight fast after the birth of her daughter,” a source close to the superstar explains.

“She hates the emphasis the Kardashians put on the body as a way to please others. She’s angry that they’re influencing new mums to feel bad about their post-baby bodies and for focusing on that instead of the pure joy of motherhood, so she decided to do something about it.” In an interview with

Vogue, super-private Beyoncé, 36, revealed she suffered from pre-eclampsia in the month leading up to the birth of her twins Sir and Rumi in June 2017. The life-threatening condition caused her body to swell to 99kg before she finally underwent an emergency Caesarean.

“After the C-section, my core felt different,” admits Beyoncé. “During my recovery, I gave myself self-love and self-care, and I embraced being curvier. I accepted what my body wanted to be.”

The “Perfect Duet” singer shared that more than a year after giving birth, her arms, shoulders, breasts and thighs are still fuller than they used to be. “I have a little mommy pouch and I’m in no rush to get rid of it,” she confesses. “It’s real. Whenever I’m ready to get a six-pack, I will go into beast zone and work my a*** off until I have it. But right now, my little Fupa [fatty upper pubic area] and I feel like we are meant to be.”

Her attitude is a huge contrast to how she felt after the birth of her first child, daughter Blue, six, in 2012, when she “believed in the things society said about how my body should look”.

The star tells, “I put pressure on myself to lose all the baby weight in three months … Looking back, it was crazy.” Beyoncé also shared that her husband of 10 years, Jay-Z, 48, was “such a strong support”.

Our source adds, “Beyoncé wants mothers to have someone other than the Kardashians to look to for inspiration. She wants them to see their power and realise that this matters more than hawking weight-loss tea on Instagram!”
