“These people like everything in its place – not just physically but emotionall­y too,” explains Amanda. “Everything needs to be sorted out and that makes them feel safe. It reduces any anxiety. If you’re cleaning like this, it might mean you are anxious about other things in your life. It might be worthwhile trying to take some risks and do certain things a little differentl­y for a change.”

“Anger may not be a part of your normal personalit­y, but it’s a feeling that creeps up on you,” says Amanda. “When you’re emotional, it’s a good time to clean and really let it
