ON THE DAY

-

Tan time

Do this first thing in the morning as it’ll give your tan plenty of time to develop and look its best by the evening. Better yet, choose an express option that only takes a couple of hours to be at its prime – or 30 minutes, in Le Tan’s case. Always use a mitt to buff in product – this ensures a streak-free finish and (1) Le Tan clean hands afterwards. Try: Express Tanning Mousse, $22.99. (2) St Tropez Self Tan Express Bronzing Mist, $75.

Cheat a mani

If you haven’t had time to go to the salon, get a gorgeous manicure in seconds by applying a set of press-on nails. Teddy Lane Nails in Manhattan and Golden Knight, $28.99, are pure genius as they can last for up to 10 days depending on the amount of adhesive used, plus they come in a range of glitzy, ultra-glam designs.

Falsies

While the act of applying false lashes can strike fear into the hearts of even the most devoted make-up wearer, the intensely glamorous effect they give is 100% worth it. Take a deep breath and follow these steps. ¹ Measure the lashes against your lash line and cut them to length with nail scissors, remembering to always cut from the shorter side. 2 Apply mascara, then black liner, to your upper lash line. This creates a buffer that helps to disguise the join between the real and false lashes. 3 Apply a dollop of black lash glue to the back of your hand and drag the false lash through it to coat the edge. The most important part of the process is to wait until the glue has dried enough so it’s tacky – this will make sure it sticks in place instantly and doesn’t slide around your eyelid, which can happen when the glue is wet.

All about eyes

The Th new dramatic smoky eye uses deep cherryreds red and rich golden-bronze shades. Create the look by applying a matte shadow blended up into the crease and along the lower lashline, then adding a complementary shimmer shade to the lid to make eyes pop. We like: (1) DB Eye See You Eyeshadow Palette in Coco Loco, $14.99. (2) Urban Decay Naked Cherry Eyeshadow Palette, $91.

Glow up

After leaving your tan on for the appropriate amount of time, rinse it off and apply a gleaming body finisher to exposed limbs. Bondi Sands Gloss Finishing Glow, $22.95, creates the perfect bronzed, dewy look with its high-shine, radianceenhancing formula.
