VIEW HEALTH & EXERCISE HOLISTICALLY

There’s T no point doing a great workout and racing off to eat e junk food afterwards! Commit to a new exercise routine, eating plan and healthy mindset, so the three work in harmony.

FIND AN EXERCISE YOU ENJOY

If you’re slugging it out with weights but hate it, you will never stick with it. Incorporate yoga or whatever you love doing in your workouts to motivate you to keep exercising.

HAVE ALL THE GOALS

Set a goal of wanting to lose weight or tone up a particular area. Also create an internal aim, such as wanting to feel better about yourself and be more energised or less anxious. You need that because you might not always see physical results, but you still want to feel like you’re getting somewhere.

EAT FOR RECOVERY

Consume something within 20 minutes of exercise, so you don’t miss the time frame of restoring glycogen to your muscles. A plant-based snack of fruit, like a banana or nuts, is a great choice.

FIND A PLACE TO WORK OUT AT HOME

If you only ever work out at a gym, it’s easy to skip your fitness regime when you don’t feel like going. Change it up by trying somewhere different at home to exercise, like on the balcony or in your back garden.
