Watts a reunion! Naomi and Liev do a love U-turn

The ami cable ex es are inseparable again

-

When acting super-couple Naomi Watts and Liev Schreiber split up in 2016 after 11 years together, they vowed to keep things amicable. After all, they had two adorable sons to raise, as well as plenty of mutual friends and a huge respect for each other.

Now, with the exes increasingly joined at the hip and rumours they’re back living together in New York, pals are convinced their unbreakable bond is shifting from platonic to romantic.

Indeed, Woman’s Day can reveal the pair are privately confiding to friends they’re falling in love all over again.

“It seems inevitable that Naomi and Liev will get back together, and everyone in their world is willing it to happen,” a source close to the star couple tells us. “They’re perfectly matched and you can tell when they’re around each other that the magic spark between them is still there. They’re soulmates who belong together. Nobody else they’ve dated has come even close.”

Earlier this year, we reported Gwyneth Paltrow had encouraged the pair to cohabitate, with an insider explaining, “Liev’s openly spoken about how he hates not living in the same house as Naomi and the kids. After much discussion with the conscious-uncoupling counsellor, they decided Liev would move back in.” More recently, the King

Kong actress – who turned 50 in September – spent a loving Thanksgiving with Liev and their two sons, Sasha, 11, and Samuel, nine. On November 22, the 51-year-old Ray

Donovan star posted a tender family photo on his Instagram account, which he captioned, “Just a few of the things I’m thankful for.”

Fans were quick to seize on the moment, with one immediately writing, “I hope that means you guys are back together.”

Naomi further fuelled the reunion hype with her own Instagram post three days later, when she posted a photo of her family breakfast table, along with the caption, “Saturday night. All kids in bed. Sometimes you feel on top of it.”

While sightings of the pair are nothing new – they’re frequently spotted attending events for their kids or cycling around Manhattan together – insiders confirm there’s an added intensity about the pair’s closeness.

“Their lives are so intertwined and they never want to go home at the end of the day after they’ve been hanging out,” adds our source. “Naomi has always depended on Liev for his mature outlook and he worships the ground she walks on. It surprised everyone when they broke up, but the way they both tell it, it was that they needed space and time apart.”

Tellingly, neither has settled with other partners since their split in September 2016. Aussie beauty Naomi has had an on-off relationship with actor Billy Crudup, 50, her co-star on the Netflix psychological thriller Gypsy, who previously dated actress Claire Danes.

Meanwhile, San Francisco-born Liev was last linked to former Miss South Dakota beauty queen Taylor Neisen, 27, who joined him and his boys on holiday in Costa Rica early this year, but hasn’t been seen with him in some months.

“It was important for Naomi and Liev to go out and explore the dating scene for a while, but it’s taught them that nobody understands them better than they do each other,” reports our source. “Their priority will always be the kids, but at the same time, they love hanging out and being together as much as possible.

“What’s telling is how they both gush about each other, both in public and private. Naomi says she loves Liev more than she’s ever done before and he’s quick to repay the compliment.”

Speaking about their relationship, Liev has confessed, “You build a life with someone and things change, and the way that we’ve looked at it is that we’ll always be partners. That’s what keeps us together and keeps us amicable.

“But we’re more than that. We also genuinely really care about each other.”
