Baby secrets

Meghan’s psychic reveals all

-

It was thought to be the Duchess of Sussex’s final public appearance before she becomes a mum, but after the heavy criticism of her lavish New York baby shower, Meghan was determined to prove she wasn’t shirking her duties on her three-day visit to Morocco with husband Prince Harry.

After touching down in Casablanca in a scarlet Valentino dress, its colour a nod to their host nation’s flag, the duchess, 37, joined her hubby, 34, at a school for girls in Asni, high in the Atlas Mountains, where student Samira Ouaddi applied a floral henna tattoo on her left arm. “It’s a traditional practice for pregnant women to bring luck for the baby,” tells Samira, 17.

Meghan impressed with her fluent French and the royal pair kidded around with

students and staff. When the prince was congratulated on the upcoming arrival, he jokingly asked his wife, “Wait, you’re pregnant?” Meghan replied, “Surprise!” To which Harry quipped, “Is it mine?”

That evening, in the capital of Rabat, the duchess, in a bespoke Dior kaftan, took a more serious tone, delivering a stirring feminist speech to female businesswomen gathered at the British embassy. “Women have to challenge everywhere in the world,” she declared.

The next day, Meghan and Harry watched a group of underprivileged kids whip up pancakes from her cookbook Together, then tasted traditional pastilla – a meat pie made from pigeon – baked by MasterChef

Morocco host Moha Fedal,

which the duchess declared to be “delicious”.

That same day, they stopped by the Royal Equestrian Sports Complex, where kids with special needs have therapy with horses. “It already makes me feel relaxed and more confident,” confessed Meghan as she moved around the stables. Later, meeting a Shetland pony named Molly, the duchess said, “She’s a bit nervous, this one. Well, we all get a little camera-shy. I understand.”

Finally, after meeting children at the Andalusian Gardens, Meghan made her big fashion moment, wearing a flowing blue custom Carolina Herrera gown, valued at $6300, for a meeting with Morocco’s King Mohammed VI.

Now back home in the UK, the duchess is recovering from the punishing schedule while overseeing renovations at Frogmore Cottage, her and Harry’s new home in Windsor. We’re told the pair are doing their best to make it a more relaxed environment than Kensington Palace.

“This is a very happy time for Meghan and Harry,” reports a royal source. “This baby has brought them even closer.”

They’re also spending a lot of time with their new labrador, which British actor Ross Kemp, who met the royals at the recent Endeavour Awards, says they’re treating as a practice baby. “It’s preparation for nappy-changing and pooing!”

The busy duchess is also preparing her body, her cupboards and the rest of her home for the baby’s arrival. “Her California roots are coming through,” reveals a friend. “She’s being mindful of what she puts in her body, on her skin and even her at-home cleaning supplies. She’s hyper-aware of what she’s using. She’s looking for natural things. She’ll probably make her own baby food. It’s going to be clean-living for this baby!”

While Meghan has publicly stated that her child – or children, if the rumours of twins are to be believed – is due in late April or early May, reports have surfaced that the birth is likely to happen this month.

Seemingly backing this up, her mother Doria Ragland – who didn’t attend the baby shower – has brought forward her flight to the UK by a month, although it’s also been suggested she wants to have a meeting with Kensington Palace over its handling of her daughter’s letter to estranged father Thomas Markle.

A friend of the concerned yoga instructor says, “Doria wants to see everything that’s being done behind the scenes – instructions Meghan’s been given, what’s been said and how staff are vetted.”

Meanwhile, though Harry and his wife have said they haven’t found out the sex of their unborn child, there are fresh reports they’re having a girl after new photos from the baby shower showed plenty of pink decorations.

While one of Meghan’s pals insists they’ll raise their children “genderless”, with neutral colours and “fluid” fashions, a daughter would be a delight for the duchess, who allegedly told a Los Angeles psychic she wanted a girl just weeks before she met Harry.

Richard Win, who charges $730 an hour, claims the former

Suits actress was a regular client before she moved to London, handing over jewellery, photos and her phone so he

could channel her energy and read her future.

“Meghan’s a very spiritual person with a wonderful energy about her,” tells Richard, 73. “She loved children and told me she wanted lots. She wanted a little girl – one she could dress up because she’s a real fashionista.

“She’s very domesticated. She said she loved to cook and she’s very nurturing. She came across as a real homebody. Meghan is a Leo, so a lioness – she will be a very protective mum. Adoption is something she would consider – that’s exactly the kind of big-hearted thing she would do.”

Noting that the duchess’ late mother-in-law Princess Diana also had a keen interest in psychic readings, Richard adds, “She and Meghan share the same humanitarian compassion.”

Whatever the sex, the unborn baby is unlikely to have a royal title, but Harry and Meghan will be giving their children lots of chores, reports a palace insider, and they hope their offspring will go on to have proper jobs.

“It’s about as much normality as possible. Meghan wants them to feel like they can grow up to be whomever they want to be – just like her!”
