She’s Cooke-ing up something special
It’s baby joy for Jennifer Lawrence, who is expecting her first child to husband Cooke Maroney!
“Jen told her close friends she’s pregnant at a pal’s birthday dinner after avoiding her usual gin and tonic,” claims an insider. “She knew tongues would be wagging given she’s usually the life of the party and the one who’ll have everyone doing shots by the end!"
The Mother! actress wed 35-year-old gallery owner Cooke in October last year.
“Jen’s made no secret about the fact that she wants to be a mum soon," tells the source. "Despite once doubting she ever wanted children, after meeting Cooke, starting a family was all she could talk about. She even said at times during their engagement that sheh couldn’t wait it for the wedding so she could start making ‘mini Cookes!’”
And now, it looks like the 29year-old star is getting her wish!
“She burst into tears as she revealed her happy news – admitting she’d been extremely nauseous and often holed up for days because she was so sick, which had been getting her down,” claims the insider. “She gushed about how incredibly supportive Cooke had been, holding her hair back and sitting on the bathroom floor with her in the night, running out for lemonade and salty fries at 1am and generally being her rock, which cemented what an amazing dad he would be.”
Jennifer showed off her tiny bump and said that while she hasn’t found out the baby’s gender, she’s convinced it’s a boy, as she’s always imagined having sons.
“Having nephews has also made her even more broody,” says the source, adding that the couple have picked out their kids’ names.
Supporting her through her tough first trimester was pal Adele, who had a similar experience when she was pregnant. And Jennifer has asked her to be godmother.
For now, the Joy actress is keeping her special news to just family and friends but, “Jen’s glowing and said she can’t wait to take some time off and revel in being a mum.”
