GEORGE PACKS HIS BAGS!

The actor is leaning on friends in the midst of his marriage woes

-

It’s been almost five months since George Clooney was last seen with his wife Amal, and now sources believe he may be taking a break from his marriage.

Last week, the A-list actor was spotted carrying a backpack full of his belongings in Los Angeles, prompting many insiders to suspect he’s moved out of the couple’s Studio City mansion, if only for the time being.

George, 58, was later seen confiding in his longtime best friend and business partner Rande Gerber, 57, as they dined at their favourite restaurant Craig’s in West Hollywood.

“Rande has provided a very attentive ear for decades during their guys’ nights at Craig’s, and on this evening in particular they were talking very seriously and intensely,” says a source from within the celeb hotspot.

“George is a naturally friendly guy, but he was in no mood to chat with anyone else and seemed to be getting something off his chest.”

Rumours of a split between the Monuments Men star and the statuesque human rights lawyer, 42 – who share two-year-old twins Alexander and Ella – have been circling for months.

Some insiders have said their increasingly separate lives are to blame, along with Amal’s wish to have another child – which fell on deaf ears.

A source close to the Clooneys claims, “George has kept Rande up to date on how things haven’t been good with Amal for a while now.

“He’s made it clear that if George needs somewhere to stay, even for a few days if discussions over their marriage become too intense, he is more than welcome to stay in Malibu with him and Cindy [Crawford, his wife], for as little or as long as he wants. “I wouldn’t be surprised if that was where George was heading with his backpack.”
