QMy 18-year-old son does nothing but sit around on his computer. He refuses to get a job or his driver’s licence. When I try to talk to him about it, we end up in another argument. What do you see for his future? Frustrated mother, via email
MITCHELL SAYS I feel your son is struggling with his self-esteem and belief in himself. I’m told deep down he has big dreams and ambitions of things he would like to do, but his lack of self-confidence is getting in the way of him even wanting to try. I feel that encouraging him to get his driver’s licence will be a big turning point. Once he has achieved this, things will turn around and he will begin to set out on a new path in life.
QMy husband and I want to move to Queensland, but we’re not
sure if this is the right thing to do. Can you help? Gloria, via email
MITCHELL SAYS I feel you have many angels of light around you. They are giving you extra love and support, and want you to know the world is a much better place with you in it. Please don’t let the isolation from your family upset you – you’ve done all you can to make them happy, but now it’s your turn to make yourself happy. I’m told moving to Queensland would offer the new beginning and fresh start that you and your husband have been hoping for.
I do feel you both should step very slowly with this move, and for some reason I keep getting the Gold Coast. Regardless, it will end up being a happy move – and you’ll meet some lovely people make new friends there.
