LOOKS GOOD ENOUGH TO EAT

-

> Plan it. Before you start baking up a storm, decide what you’re going to make and how you’re going to package it. It’s a good idea to choose treats that can be made in advance and frozen, think cookies, rum balls and fudge.

> Stack it. Ever noticed how some things look better when there’s more than one? A stack of thin cookies or a cluster of three or five tru les is visually very appealing.

> Wrap it. Clear or patterned cellophane bags, mini tins, cardboard boxes and, of course, a cute little jar all have the power to transform baked treats (even the less-than-perfect ones!) into a thing of beauty.

> Tie it. Striped twine, rustic-looking string and sparkling or cloth ribbons are the perfect finishing touch.
