Fun and functional with Corian®

The kitchen is the hub of every gathering and these clever homeowners made some great decisions on how to make every inch of their new kitchen shine

-

A FRESH START

The owners of this upmarket home found a sliver lining to their Christchurch earthquake driven rebuild by getting the kitchen they had always wanted. With two teenage children plus a wide circle of family and friends, a great-looking yet smartly designed and durable kitchen was what they requested from Sandy Eagle of Sandy Eagle Design.

MADE FOR FRIENDS

This kitchen is an entertainer’s dream and is large enough for all the family’s needs.

It has a clean and streamlined U-shaped functional zone with plenty of room for baking and cooking and a contrasting timber island with tall bar stools for eating and socialising. Sandy has cleverly integrated the functional kitchen space with the social area, delivering a stunning kitchen that works well for any number of family and guests.

TOP CHOICE

Corian® Cirrus White was chosen for the kitchen benchtop by Sandy and the homeowners for a number of reasons. Corian® is durable and easy to clean, as well having a surprisingly warm and soft feel. The choice of Cirrus White added visual warmth to the kitchen through its creamy white colour and subtle pattern. Another big selling point for Corian® was the lack of visible joins, which is super important in a U-shaped kitchen as it ensured the streamlined and stylish look the owners were after. The 10 year installed transferable warranty also provides peace of mind.

TIME TO RELAX

The homeowners are thrilled with their new kitchen and home (which won a Master Builders award), as are their many guests who come to stay. Having been through the stress of the earthquakes and rebuild, they now get to sit back and enjoy their new dream home.
