IN-CSR opens offices in Southern, Eastern Africa

…Appoints Chokuwenga, Olonde as heads

Determined to serve the continent better, the Internatio­nal Network for Corporate Social Responsibi­lity ( IN- CSR) has announced the opening of its Southern and Eastern Africa offices in Zimbabwe and in Kenya.

It has also appointed Israel Chokuwenga and Janet Olonde to head the offices, respective­ly.

Speaking on the new offices, Eustace Onuegbu, IN-CSR president and lead consultant, confirmed that the Southern Africa office will be headed by Chokuwenga, who, until recently, served as the Group Head, Health, Safety, Social and Environmen­t ( HSSE), specifical­ly focusing on Social Performanc­e at Dangote Group Plc, while the Eastern Africa office will be headed by Olonde, who is an accomplish­ed sales and marketing consultant specialisi­ng in corporate training and certificat­ions.

Onuegbu also disclosed that the Southern Africa office is located at 2458 California Road, Charlotte Broke, Borrowdale, Harare, Zimbabwe, while the Eastern Africa office is located at Medallion Alliance Conference­s, Ngong Road, Nairobi, Kenya.

IN-CSR is an internatio­nal team of Corporate Sustainabi­lity and Responsibi­lity (CS&R) consultant­s and Corporate Human Rights advocates working to promote best practices in sub- Saharan Africa.

He also added that over the years, the organisati­on has emerged as an industry expert in sustainabi­lity strategies – globally recognised certificat­ions, due diligence studies, implementa­tion and auditing – using both national and internatio­nal platforms on corporate sustainabi­lity and responsibi­lity, environmen­tal management, occupation­al health and safety, risk management, quality assurance, and business continuity, among others.

According to Onuegbu, with the opening of the new offices, the organisati­on is better placed to serve clients in sub-saharan Africa and can now consider requests to serve some Asian markets.
