Constance Walter Atelier
The creative designer Chioma Constance Walter was born on May 1st into a humble catholic and comfortable family of Late Hon. Cyril and Lady Eunice Ojukwu. Being an only girl in the midst of four boys, her parents especially her Mum turned her into a fashion icon among her peers and mates with how she dresses her with beautiful outfits and accessories. These in turn drove her interest in fashion. At an early age she often cut out fashionable pictures from magazines and places them on an exercise book with gum making it look like a catalogue and soon started using pieces of fabrics from her mother’s seamstress and joining them together to make a scarf.
She is married to her best friend and lover, Augustine Walter and are blessed with four amazing kids Nicole, Brielle, Belle and Bryan. A graduate from the famous university of Portharcourt with a degree in foreign languages and literature, speaks English, Ibo, French and German. She has an MBA in human resources from Lagos state university. After her youth service in Hallmark bank, she worked for a while in Air France before a full career in Banking. She left the banking as a head of private banking of the then NBM bank a Nigbel Belgolaise bank in Nigeria and decided to turn her passion into creativity. This led to the birth of “Truly Essential Couture” in 2009 while running one of the biggest lingerie halls in Lagos called Essential. The label was created for the classy flawless and gorgeous woman who wants to stand out in the crowd with a unique sense of style. She drew her inspiration from the “Newly married woman who wants to show off to her mates, neighbours friends, and everyone around her. She believes that Clothes should do more than cover up the body but represent our personalities, who we are, our mood, our ambitions and desires, our sensitivity, strong sense and our style which is our unique peculiarity. Constance Walter Atelier was created to suit the everyday gorgeous and classy woman who loves affordable and pure luxury, who desires to be unique with her style.
