Poor state of power plants worries NDPHC

The Vice Chancellor disclosed this yesterday at a press conference in Wukari on the University’s maiden convocatio­n ceremony.

He said that the Ona of Abaji will be installed as the first paper “Positionin­g for Institutio­n Building and Change in NDPHC Pathway to Building a world class organizati­on” at a 2-day retreat in Calabar for chief executive officers of the different power plants across the country.

He said it has become imperative to move these power plants to a functional level by looking at major challenges hindering optimum performanc­e.

Professor Kundiri disclosed that a total of 394 candidates will be awarded Bachelors of Arts and Science Degrees out of which 16 graduated with First Class, 116 with Second Class Upper Division, 192 with Second Class Lower Division and 20 with Third Class.

On the achievemen­ts recorded in the last one year that he served as the Vice Chancellor, Professor Kundiri said that he was able to complete the Library, the ICT Centre, a 1000-seater and 600-seater capacity lecture theatres.
