Miss Orekunrin Olajumoke Beatrice is the Chief Executive Officer of Ojeez Concepts and Events. She is from Akoko North West in Ondo State. The young promising entrepreneur, who resides in Kano State, is the first child in a family of three kids. Beatrice is one of the few women involved in artists’ management, show promotion and sundry businesses.

According to her, being in a male dominated business has not been easy at all, adding that she injects a lot of energy and commitment in order to succeed in her business.

Events management and show promoting business in Kano State is gradually gaining grounds but it is mostly dominated by the males. The few female in the business are treated as intruders as the men feel is their exclusive preserve.

“It hasn’t been easy at all; the men seem not to have accepted us fully. They see us as intruders,” revealed Beatrice. anymore,” he revealed.

Tarauni added that 75% to 80% of business women empowered under government’s empowerment initiatives in the last 2 years in Nigeria are no longer in business because they didn’t decide for themselves what to do but the policy foisted it on them and so they never took it seriously.

Beatrice said she would have been an actress if not for some odious reasons. She is however optimistic about breaking into the market in her business adventures in Kano, despite the terrain being a male dominated one, just as she’s positive about being one of the few women who would make their mark in artists’ management and show promotion in the state.
