Pastor Adeboye visits Buhari in London
Africans must solve Africa’s problems –
The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, Enoch Adeboye, yesterday visited President Muhammadu Buhari at the Abuja house in London.

Acting President Yemi Osinbajo yesterday charged African countries to solve their problems themselves as demonstrated by Nigeria in tackling the Boko Haram insurgency and the humanitarian crisis in the Northeast. He was speaking in Kigali, Rwanda, where he and other several African Heads of State and Government witnessed the inauguration ceremony of President Paul Kagame following his victory at the August 4 Rwandan posted two photographs Adeboye took with Buhari.
Adesina captioned the photographs thus: “President Buhari receives General Overseer Worldwide Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye at the Abuja House London on 18th Aug 2017.
President Buhari has been in London presidential election.
Osinbajo, who was accompanied by the Foreign Affairs Minister, Geoffrey Onyeama, told journalists that African nations could take leadership in all respects. He said: “That is a theme that has gone through the African Union and it is very resonant that we must solve our own problems, that Africa can solve its own problems and I think African nations have begun to demonstrate that. We have shown in Nigeria that whatever problems we have, we can resolve them. We are doing so in the North-east, we since May 7 for follow-up consultations with his doctors.
Earlier this month, the Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby, also paid a visit to Buhari and said he was delighted to see his rapid recovery. Welby noted that this was a testimony to the healing powers of God, and answer to prayers of millions of people around the world. are doing so with the humanitarian condition and all of that.
“We are saying that we can take leadership in various respects, leadership in our economies, handle the commanding heights in our economies, be directly involved in the destiny and future of our countries. And I think the point that he (Kagame) made is an important one and it’s one that is being demonstrated all over Africa.”
Osinbajo affirmed that Kagame had shown excellent example of leadership, particularly in the East African region,
The capital of Oyo State, Ibadan will soon have a total of 32 beaded crown-wearing Obas (kings), while the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Saliu Adetunji, will maintain his status as the paramount ruler of the ancient city.
This is the highpoint of the recommendations by the Judicial Commission of Inquiry for the review of the existing 1957 Declaration of Olubadan of Ibadanland and other related chieftaincies in Ibadanland, set up by the State Governor, Senator Isiaka Abiola Ajimobi.
A statement from the communication unit of the state government added that the panel also reduced the rungs from the existing 22 to 11 on the Otun line, while the Balogun line was reduced to 12 from 23 as part of measure to reduce the lengthy years it takes a potential Olubadan to get to the pinnacle of the two chieftaincy lines producing the Olubadan on rotational basis.
“The implication being that the Ikolaba chieftaincy will now become the entry point for a potential high chief, instead of Jagun chieftaincy as it currently stands, if the recommendations sail through,” the statement said.
The report was yesterday presented to the governor by the Chairman of the 11-member, Commission, Justice Akintunde Boade (retd) at the Governor’s Office.
Receiving the report, the governor said no effort would be spared to ensure that the recommendations were implemented as early as September.
