The Jos Electricity Distribution Company (JEDC) said it had resumed metering and ready to install about 40, 000 meters in the next two months across four states.
They are Plateau, Bauchi, Gombe and Benue states.
The JEDC Managing Director, Mohammed Gidado Modibbo, told journalists in Jos that Nigerian Electricity Management Service Agency (NEMSA) has now given them the green light to continue with the installation of the meters after it certified them good.
He explained that before the suspension of the exercise they installed about 26, 000 meters across the four states.
The Jos Disco suspended metering in April following a protest by the Coalition of Plateau Communities after requesting that the device be checked. NEMSA then ordered the company to stop further installation.
