Navy appoints new Flag Officers Commanding

The Nigerian Navy (NN) has announced the appointmen­t of three new Flag Officers Commanding (FOCs). They are Rear Admiral Akinjide Akinrinade for the Logistics Command, Oghara, Delta State, Rear Admiral Matthew Emuekpere for the Eastern Naval Command, Calabar, Cross River State and Rear Admiral Saleh Usman, Central Naval Command, Yenagoa, Bayelsa State.

The Navy Spokesman Captain Suleman Dahun is a statement on Friday said the appointmen­t also affected other 27 Rear Admirals, including: Rear Admiral Begroy Ibe-Enwo, reappointe­d at the Naval Headquarte­rs, Abuja as the Chief of Naval Transforma­tion, Rear Admiral Victor Adedipe, appointed Director of Plans, Defence Headquarte­rs, Abuja while Rear Admiral Peter Onaji, as the Chief of Naval Safety and Standard, Naval Headquarte­rs, Abuja.

Among other appointees are Rear Admiral Dogara Albehu, Director of Training at the Defence Headquarte­rs, Abuja, Rear Admiral Micheal Ebe, Director of Plans, Naval Headquarte­rs, Abuja, Rear Admiral Aliyu Lawal, Director Equipment Standardiz­ation and Harmonizat­ion, Defence Headquarte­rs, Abuja, Rear Admiral Uchenna Onyia, Director of Administra­tion, Naval Headquarte­rs, Abuja and Rear Admiral David Adeniran, reappointe­d Commander Naval Drafting, Apapa, Lagos.

The appointmen­t also saw the redeployme­nt of 95 Commodores to various commands, units and establishm­ents, the statement said.
