Man arrested with FRSC uniform, military ID card

Operatives of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) and the Kano State Police Command have arrested one Engineer Gude Ude with FRSC uniform and a military ID card.

A statement from the FRSC Kano Command, signed by the Acting Sector Commander, Ahmed The Sole Administra­tor of Jema’a Local Government Area of Kaduna State, Alhaji Yusuf UsmanMu’azu, has inaugurate­d an 18-member committee to review the cattle routes that were closed or taken over by T. Mohammed, said Engineer Ude was arrested on Thursday January 4, 2018 along Kaduna-Zaria highway during a special patrol tagged “Operation Zero.”

According to the statement, Ude was driving a vehicle with registrati­on number MKA 269 HU and when stopped, claimed to be a staff of the FRSC and was found with FRSC uniform. farmers to prevent re-occurrence of clashes between farmers and herders.

However, being suspected to be impersonat­ing the FRSC, he was arraigned before a Special Mobile Court attached to the Special Patrol Operations where he produced a military ID card and claimed to be a soldier.

He later tried to escape but was arrested and re-arraigned before the mobile court, the statement added.
