Offa, Erin Ile move to settle age-long rivalry

Offa and Erin Ile communitie­s in the Offa and Oyun local government areas of Kwara State have resolved to end an age-long communal crisis and forge ahead for mutual benefit, developmen­t and growth.

The National Human Rights Commission has called on the Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN) to be orderly while protesting for the release of their leader Sheikh Ibrahim Zakzaky.

In a statement by the spokespers­on of the commission, Fatima Agwai Mohammed, the Acting Executive Secretary of the Commission, Mrs Oti Ovrawah, stated this while reacting to the protest by the group which turned violent and disrupted peace in some parts of the FCT earlier in the week.
