4,000 lawyers called to bar yearly – Prof. Elias
The Chairman Lagos State Law Reform Commission, Prof. Gbolahan Elias (SAN), has disclosed over 4,000 lawyers are called to the Nigerian bar every year.
He said the nation was already having more than 100,000 practicing lawyers competing for recognition in the labour market.

The people of Iwo in Osun State have reiterated their position on zoning of the governorship seat to Osun West Senatorial District.
The Coordinator of Iwoland Development Coalition, Mr. Adisa Kabiru, while speaking on behalf of the indigenes, said zoning the governorship was for fairness. Iwo indigenes insist on zoning Group charges youths on political participation, skills acquisition
The New Nigerian Movement, a civil society group, has called on youths in the country to actively participate in politics so that old politicians will stop dominating the nation’s political landscape and relegating them to the background.
In a goodwill message to the youths in commemoration of the Sallah, the Co-Convener/Spokesperson, Comrade Abdullahi Abdulmajeed, urged the youth to be academically minded, hardworking and strive to acquire meaningful skills, saying it would stand in good stead any time, any day.
