Firm signs gas, cooking equipment agreement for Katsina workers

He said sometime in 2012, AMCON alleged that Resort Internatio­nal Limited (N20bn), Bicourtney Limited (N20bn) Aldusar Gas Nigeria Limited has entered into a mutual agreement with the Katsina State Government and the state chapter of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) to provide cooking gas, cylinders and other equipment to civil servants.

The workers are to repay for the items in three installmen­ts. and Roygate Properties Limited (N9bn) were indebted to it and that the Federal High Court in Abuja, on April 5, 2012, ordered that whatever debt was outstandin­g to any Federal agency by Bicourtney and companies related to it should be deducted from the sum of

Speaking at the commenceme­nt of exercise, the state Head of Service, Idris Tune, represente­d by Permanent Secretary, Lawal Ado said government has for long tried to address environmen­tal degradatio­n by ensuring best safe practices noting that this collaborat­ion N132bn which the Federal Government owed Bicourtney Limited.

He lament while Bicourtney had a net judgment credit of N83bn and despite the court verdicts, AMCON had continued to publish his clients’ names as debtors. was a surest way to achieving that.

The President, Aldusar Group, Muhammadu Usman Sarki said it is more economical and healthier to use gas for cooking.

About 1000 workers have since applied for the pilot phase of the scheme which will later be extended to workers at the 34 local government areas of the state.
