It has been 68 years of un linching commitment and service to the nation and humanity; and 17 years on the throne of your forebears. After a distinguished career in the Army, rising to the enviable rank of Brigadier General; you ascended the throne of your forebears, becoming the 13th Etsu Nupe on September 11th, 2003, heralding a new dawn in the transformation of Bida Emirate. Testimonies abound that in the last 17 years that you have been on the throne, you have remained a father to all, playing leading roles in building bridges and fostering unity amongst the diverse tendencies that make-up Nigeria. Beyond sustaining the rich and proud legacy of your forefathers, you have served meritoriously as the permanent Chairman of the Niger State Council of Traditional Rulers and an effective chairman of the National Mosque, Abuja, in maintaining and sustaining it as an architectural landmark and a leading centre of religious and intellectual activities in the country’s federal capital as well as a strong voice as the Chairman, Coordinating Committee of the Nigeria Council of Traditional Rulers of Nigeria amongst several other achievements too numerous to mention. My family and the good people of Bida/Gbako/ Katcha Federal Constituency of Niger State, who I represent in the House of Representatives are proud to be associated with your kingship which has brought positive development and modernization to your domain and the entire Nupe Kingdom. As you celebrate 68th anniversary of your birth, which coincides with 17 years anniversary of your coronation as the 13th Etsu Nupe, i pray almighty Allah grants you good health, many more years of wisdom, courage and determination to continue to render sel less service to KinNupe and the nation at large.
