Your Excellency exuded these exceptional qualities during your eight years tenure as the democratically-elected Executive Governor of Borno State from 2011 to 2019 when you piloted the state out of the stormy sea of the global-scale Boko Haram insurgency, for which Borno State will, for ever, remain grateful to Allah (SWT) and you.

As the topmost political Northerner of the current times, Your Excellency’s rich charactet and accomplishments endeared you to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who chose you out of a very broad pack of Northern politicians possessing promising leadership potentials, to team up with him in the task of Renewing the Hope of Nigerians on.the sustenance and prosperity of the Nigerian Nation.
