United seek first win in six games against Tottenham

-

Manchester United host Tottenham in the Premier league the day’s biggest cracker and the Red Devils will be looking to get back to winning ways after several draws in the last couple of games. Jose Mourinho’s men have failed to win five of their last six Premier League matches and the Portuguese tactician is under a lot of pressure to deliver. Manchester United have drawn four of their last five matches. Despite dominating most games, the Old Trafford outfit have struggled in front of the goal.

When they signed Mkhitaryan and Ibrahimovic in the summer, few would have expected United to struggle with their goalscoring. However, both the new signings have failed to replicate their usual standards at their new club and the likes of Martial and Rooney are simply out of form at this moment.

Spurs have an impressive defence and this weekend’s game will be a big challenge for the Manchester United attackers.

James Wilson and Chris Smalling are the only injury worries for Jose Mourinho this weekend. Luke Shaw is expected to return from injury.

Tottenham picked up an impressive 3-1 win over CSKA in the Champions League yesterday and were rampant in their last Premier League outing. Mauricio Pochettino’s men smashed Swansea 5-1 at home and are currently six points ahead of Manchester United in the Premier League table.

Just like Manchester United, Spurs have had a goalscoring problem this season. Due to the absence of Harry Kane earlier this season, the Londoners struggled to score goals and as a result, they ended up drawing quite a few of their matches.

Tottenham have lost just once this season and will look to build on their recent form with a morale-boosting win at Old Trafford. The last time these two sides met, Spurs picked up a 3-0 win at White Hart Lane and will be looking for a similar result this weekend as well.

Vincent Janssen and Erik Lamela are the only injury worries for the away side here.
