Former Media Trust MD Isiaq Ajibola launches book
Former Managing Director of Media Trust Ltd, Alh. Isiaq Ajibola has launched his book, ‘Journalism and Business: My Newspaper Odyssey’ an account of his years in the media industry.
The event at the Yar’adua Centre, Abuja was chaired by former Kogi State Governor, Capt. Idris Wada and had in attendance dignitaries from the field of politics, the media and the business community.
Speaking at the occasion, the Chief launcher, Alh. Bashir Yusuf, chairman of the Peoples Democratic Movement (PDM) paid glowing tributes to Alh. Ajibola describing him as a shrewd business man and visionary, who played an important role in the establishment of the Daily Trust newspaper.
He commended Ajibola for taking his time to write the book as it is vital to share his unique business insight into the media industry with others who dare to dream of venturing into the media business.
Also speaking at the event, Mr Sam Nda Isiah, CEO of Leadership newspapers described Ajibola as a committed business man and one of the brains behind the success of Media Trust, describing the book as an important contribution to the documentations of the travails of the media industry.
On his part, Mr. Ajibola said documenting his sojourn in the media industry was important as he was keen to share the experience he had gleaned in his years in the business.
‘Journalism and Business: My Newspaper Odyssey’ is published by Hapicom Nigeria Ltd, Abuja and hundreds of copies were sold at the Abuja launch which drew media moguls, politicians, academics and business men.
